Do You Suffer From Chronic Pain After An Accident?

Have you been in an accident at home, at work, or on the road?

If so, and you have been experiencing persistent pain, our specialists at Panda Clinic will be able to evaluate and provide professional help to determine the best treatment options for your pain. We understand that each injury and person is different, so we tailor your treatment to your needs.

Some of the most common injuries caused by slips & falls, car accidents, and other unfortunate events include: -Whiplash, a common injury suffered by victims of a car accident, is a type of neck strain occurring when there is an abrupt forward or backward jerking of the head. While not unique to car accidents, whiplash can be experienced from any accident where forceful jerking of the head is experienced.

-Neck & Back pain, slips and falls are a leading cause of prolonged back and neck pain in patients. Whether it was experienced on the job, or inside your own home, the muscle strain from these accidents could lead to long term issues if left untreated.

-Headaches, reoccurring pain localized to different areas of the head. While the causes for headaches can be hard to pinpoint, the need for relief is a serious issue. Whether it be from muscle tension or nerve injury, diagnosing and treating the problem is our main concern.

Sometimes the pain from these injuries can persist months after the accident. If you find yourself suffering from prolonged pain after an accident, you may want to consider visiting our clinic.

Frequently Asked Questions About Advanced Acupressure Massage

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture therapy referres the insertion of tiny, single-use, needles into specific points on the body to promote the body’s natural healing response.

It is based on the framework of a complex network of channels and collaterals that are responsible for distributing essential energy and nutrients all over the human body.

Issues arises when these channels become blocked. Acupunturists correct the flow of these channels by inserting needles into specific points.

Since the network of meridians connects to and integrates every part of the body, from our skin to our organs, acupuncture may be an important part of your treatment plan.

What Is Acupressure Massage?

Acupressure is a form of manual therapy used to relieve pain and muscle tension all over the body.

Unlike acupunture, where needles are inserted into the skin, it is performed with fingers gradually pressing onto key points around the body to simulate pain relief, muscle relaxation, and promote blood flow.

Acupressure techniques are used on trigger points within muscles and soft tissues. A trigger point is a neuromuscular point where a muscle and a nerve meet together and cause irritation. This meeting place often causes pain when compressed and can lead to muscle spasms and localized discomfort.

When acupressure techniques are applied, pain is often reduced by interrupting pain signals to the brain and encouraging deep relaxation.

What is Cupping Therapy?

In cupping therapy, a glass or plastic bulb is used to create a vacuum on the skin.

This creates space between the skin, fascia, and muscles, facilitating the flow of blood through the space created.

This myofascial decompression allows for the flushing of any toxic built-up  and metabolic waste from the area. While encouraging the body to increase the flow of fresh, nutrient rich blood to support the local tissue.

It is most commonly used in the treatment of everyday aches and pain.

Does Acupressure Massage Help After An Accident?

Studies suggest that acupressure releases endorphins and promotes anti-inflammatory effects, helping with certain body ailments such as sprains, muscle tension, and pain resulting from an accident. More than one study suggests that fatigue and mood may improve from the use of acupressure massage.

Can Acupressure Help My Back Pain?

If you struggle with chronic  back pain and are interested in trying treatments that are lower risk, and non-invasive, acupressure is worth considering.

Does My Insurance Cover Advanced Acupressure Massage?

3.    The Treatment

Based on the reason for your visit, acupressure therapy techniques will begin, tailored to your needs. It is very important to communicate any concerns or issues you experience during the session. While some areas may be more uncomfortable than others to be worked on, the session should always be to your comfort level.
