Panda Clinic is now offering virtual physiotherapy to everyone in Vancouver.

ICBC and most insurance providers, such as Sunlife, Manulife, and Blue Cross now covers virtual physiotherapy (telehealth) in Vancouver. And coverage is the same as an in-person physiotherapy visit.

How does virtual physiotherapy in Vancouver work?

Unlike the traditional physiotherapy visit, a virtual physiotherapy session is like a video conference.

Firstly, download Zoom on your local device before the virtual physiotherapy appointment starts. Then we will go through all the necessary processes and help our patients to start virtual physiotherapy appointment successfully.

Is the Zoom meeting secure?

Yes. Because, we use Zoom healthcare for our virtual physiotherapy appointment. So it meets HIPPA and PIPA compliance. We are keeping all the medical records confidentially.

How to get reimbursed from my insurance provider?

As we directly bill to ICBC, so you don’t have to deal with your adjuster.

For private insurance, we will email you your virtual physiotherapy invoice after you complete your virtual session. Then you can submit the claim to your insurance provider for reimbursement.

How to book a virtual physio appointment?

You can book an appointment online or by phone with any certified physiotherapist. Or you can phone us to book, as our phone line is still available during regular business hours. Online booking stays open for virtual physiotherapy 24/7.

How long doe a virtual physiotherapy session take? And how much is that?

The initial session is $100 for 45 mins.

Follow up treatment is $81 for 30 mins.

There is no user fee for ICBC patients.
